You know what's cuter than a squishy little hamster nestled in the palm of your hand? Absolutely nothing, I tell you. When they make those adorable hamster noises that renders it almost impossible to not respond with the biggest "awwww" of your life, you know you've found something special. More approachable than mice, less intense than your average guinea pig, hamsters are the real champions all- around. They are probably the cutest member of the rodent family.
It's almost a written rule or necessity of some sort to make a stop at the hamster section when visiting a pet shop and we can all relate to the sadness we feel if said hamsters are inside their nooks, hiding from the rest of the world. Which, in itself, is understandable.
